DocRush ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website docrush.app and any related mobile applications (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By using DocRush you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Email address — collected when you sign in using our one-time password (OTP) system. Used solely for authentication and product communications.

Information generated by your use of the Service:

• PDF annotations and bookmarks — highlights, drawings, text notes, and bookmarks you create on documents. Stored locally on your device and, for Pro users, synced to our servers.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, error logs. Collected in aggregate to improve the Service.
• Payment information — processed entirely by Razorpay. We do not store card numbers, bank details, or any payment instrument data on our servers. We retain only the transaction ID and subscription status.

Information we do not collect:

• We never access the content of your PDF files. Files are processed locally in your browser.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• To authenticate you and manage your account
• To process payments and manage your Pro subscription
• To send transactional emails (OTP codes, payment receipts)
• To respond to support requests
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

• Supabase — authentication and database (data hosted in Mumbai, India). Privacy Policy

• Google AdSense — advertising (free tier only). Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your interests. Privacy Policy
• Vercel — website hosting. Privacy Policy

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. The free tier of DocRush also serves Google AdSense ads, which may use cookies to personalise advertisements. You can opt out of personalised ads via Google Ad Settings.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure located in Mumbai, India. We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability

8. Children's Privacy

DocRush is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
